And now few words of introduction:

I was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy, in 1979. Yes, before Internet disrupted our lives, and definitely before the first Bitcoin transaction happened.

I work with performance sound and text in an expandend sculptural dimension.

At the origin of my art, there are long performative processes, performative in nature, immersive experience in heterogeneous worlds where I create a discursive authorial space with the people I meet.  The outcome ranges from a theatre scene to the daily task of writing on a commuter train, from a sound composition to a spoken symphony, from a publication to an environmental sculpture.

I am interested in decentralized practices  in internet and art. I work closely with performers and collaborators (dancers, chess players, choir singers, orchestra directors, sound engineers, hackers) all actively involved in the making of each work: “guided improvisation” where there is no fixed choreography but a core idea and guidelines interpreted as a collective brain responding to the space and the public.

My works have been shown in collective and personal exhibitions in public and private spaces, including: Municipal Theater of Bologna, Italy (2020); “Illuminate”, Zug, Switzerland; Noorlandsoperan, Umea, Sweden (2018); ALL’APERTO, Zegna Foundation, Turin, Italy (2017); Quadrennial 16, Rome, Italy; Strauhof, Zurich, Switzerland; Point Perf, Geneva, Switzerland (2016); MACRO Museum, Rome, Italy (2015); MAXXI Museum, Rome, Italy; Kunsthalle Göppingen, Germany; Tranzit.ro, Bucharest, Romania (2014); Swiss Institute of Rome, Rome (2013); Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation, Turin, Italy; Viafarini, Milan, Italy (2012).

My artworks are also part of private and public collections in Italy, Germany and Switzerland.

Since 2018 I have been a member of Collection Collective with which I participated in Art and Encounters Biennial, Timisoara (2019).

My personal and professional path has been shaped by a transdisciplinary approach and by unexpected encounters. I made classical studies, followed by a Degree in Law, a Master in Landscape Art and Architecture and a Master of Science in Digital Currencies (2019).

PS This biography, written in the first person to avoid the embarrassing fictional third person, was nourished by the words of the many dear friends who gave name to my practices. To them my merci beaucoup.
